Storytelling, Bald Eagles, and Hands On Activities

It's been awhile {a long while, as in two months or more} since I've done any type of summary of our learning here on the blog. In fact, this school year I've only done one other wrap-up. Rest assured, though I don't always share, we are always learning!

The collage above highlights some of that learning from the last couple of weeks.

So, without further adieu: Recently, in our homeschool...

Places we've gone...include a trip to seek {and find!} Bald Eagles.

People we saw...and listened to! Our family was blessed to sit through a storytelling seminar by the one and only Jim Weiss. He is a master storyteller with much wisdom to share. We are grateful for his willingness to share {and his CDs!}

What's working for us...hands on activities. Whether it be a lady bug activity or observations, a literary extension activity or pumpkin decorating project based on Pilgrim's Progress, our family is enjoying and learning from a wide variety of hands on activities.

I read...The Snow Goose, by Paul Gallico and Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand. {A slight time period them going on here, but both books fantastic on their own.}

I'm grateful for...a scheduled whole week off to enjoy the beauty of this season!

May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
