Salt Water Marsh Lands - A Nature Walk

The day after Thanksgiving, we needed a walk, or maybe two?
There was a salt water marsh area within walking distance of our cottage.
We headed out after a round of Thanksgiving left overs.

The afternoon was clear and crisp with plenty of wondrous sights.

Along the path, special bridges allowed for extended walking through the marshes.

There were plenty of plants to observe.

And even some fall foliage to admire in the wooded area which neighbored the marsh.

When we spotted the pine cones,

we searched the ground for a few to inspect.

My husband gently pried the pine cone open to reveal the seeds within.

There were shells to be seen,

and a plethora of horse shoe crab shells to be compared.
