A Nature Walk - Late Summer Flower Gardens

After Friday co-op, we traveled to meet my sister and nieces at a public garden we all love.

We walked through cultivated gardens with themes, like desert plants.

Other gardens played with patterns and colors of the flowers.

Along the way, novelties like large leaves captivated our interest.

Bees were plentiful,

as were butterflies.

Some of the children preferred the water fountains

to the golden meadows.

Partway through our explorations, the children tried the whisper bench.

Finally, we marveled at the various textures of some of the garden plantings.

It was a lovely afternoon.
