Backyard Bird Watching

Since the early onset of spring weather, or rather absence of winter, we have been amazed by the early budding of trees and emerging flowers.  Also, there is a multitude of birds and bugs for this time of the year.

Typically, mid-March presents a landscape of brown, thawing ground.  Not this year!  Our backyard is turning green with budding trees and active nest building birds are flying about.  Each day, we awake to the sound of various birds singing.

A few have been spotted and identified.  Others are just fun to watch.

We also found a nest in the large catalpa tree.
