A Nature Walk - New Year's Day

Since the weather was unseasonably warm and we had a free afternoon, we headed for the woods.

Without the thick foliage, we noticed the textures and variances of the tree bark,

decaying and broken trees, remnants of paper thin leaves,

and the promise of life in seeds.
