Rainy summer evenings are a great time to pull out the games.  For our family, we enjoy playing board games immensely, especially games involving strategy.

  1. I've never even heard of Gobblet-- I'll have to look that one up! We're big cribbage fans, since it's so easy to play with only 2 people. I'm the queen of strategizing the perfect pegging around here. :) LOVE playing games together!

    1. Gobblet is great fun. It is available at www.rainbowresource.com (but I'm sure you can find it elsewhere too) Can I just say I have never played cribbage - will have to try it!

    1. Checkers was a 'rediscovered' game around here recently - in that I forgot how much I loved playing checkers! The kids have taken turns trying to beat me - love how they are developing strategies of their own. Card games are great too, and so versatile. We have one we play often, but it is completely a regional game to a small area in New England (or so we suppose, because almost no one outside of that area has heard of it) it's called 45's.
